After swinging by the funeral of Edwin (Ping Medina), Rigor (John Estrada) and Mando (Allan Paule) went on to have a drinking session.
Mando uttered how sorry he felt about Marsing (Pen Medina) and Nita (Susan Africa) because they had already lost both of their children, which Rigor firmly believed was caused by Tanggol (Coco Martin). Being his ninong (or godfather), Mando defended Tanggol anew since Rigor tended to accuse him despite the lack of evidence. But Rigor reminded him that he took care of Tanggol since he was born, so he already knew him all too well.
As Rigor mentioned how unlucky he was to have Tanggol and Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) in his life, Mando disproved it by saying that he was actually blessed to have her as his wife. Mando then went on to confess that he actually used to have romantic feelings towards his wife when they were still young, yet he never mustered the courage to tell her, especially when he found out that Rigor was already courting her. Instead of also making his move, Mando opted to distance himself to avoid ruining their solid friendship.
With Rigor asking him how he could tell that Marites is a good person when she chose to go with the same person who assaulted him, Mando reminded him of how he hurt her so much through his illicit affair with their colleague, Lena (Mercedes Cabral). Of course, being the egotistic person that he is, Rigor defended himself and what he did by telling Mando that he would never understand him until he’s in his shoes. However, Mando told him that he would give her the love she truly deserves and would never break Marites’ heart if he was her husband.
Seemingly offended by what Mando just said, Rigor told him that he doesn’t have the right to lecture him about love since he wasn’t able to fight for it in the first place.
