Riding Jason (Francis Magundayao)’s motorcycle, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) is still on the road by the time the sun begins to set, asking around in search of Mia (Anne Curtis). Heavy rain starts pouring yet he refuses to give up.
At last, he catches sight of her still walking in the rain, her gaze fixed ahead, holding in her hand the sandals she had taken off after her feet grew sore from their high heels. Patrick takes off his jacket to drape it over her, prompting Mia to instinctively drop the sandals she is carrying and wrap her arms around him, and in that unguarded moment, Patrick embraces her back.
He decides to take her to a motel, the closest place he can think of to bring her. From the blank expression she has worn all day as she wandered around Maravida, there now appears a hint of a smile and a glimmer of delight as she teases that perhaps he has been captivated by her wet look and that is why he brought her there. Mia continues her teasing, even pinning Patrick to the wall and saying she wants to take care of him, but he quickly removes her hands from his shoulder and challenges her on how she thinks she can take care of him when she cannot even take care of herself.
Their exchange is interrupted when the motel receptionist arrives to offer them available rooms, with Mia telling the man she wants something with a wild ambience. The two keep bickering in front of the receptionist as Patrick insists that Mia should be the only one to stay in the room because he plans to leave once the rain stops, but Mia counters with certainty that he must be thinking of something else.
She finally convinces him to keep her company in one room, though he insists on a simple one—only for Patrick to realize, funnily enough, that he has not brought his wallet with him.
