Brent Manalo first entered the limelight as a model for a fashion brand. Meanwhile, Mika Salamanca is no stranger to striking a pose, with an Instagram feed that proves she knows her angles and how to deliver a scroll-stopping snap.
Which is exactly why the "Pose it, BreKa, Pose It!" Challenge on Kapamilya Chat was made for them. In this game, all they had to do was strike their best model poses while working with totally random items as part of their look in each round.
The pretend runway-slash-photoshoot opened with them posing with cute elephant stuffed toys. Still in their usual character, Mika brought the slay, while Brent stayed nonchalant yet effortlessly charming as always.
'Bayong,' but make it fashion! This was where Brent’s model skills really started to show, serving that clean over-the-shoulder flex, while Mika delivered main-character energy with a head-turn slay.
Cupid didn’t even have to aim—our hearts were already hit just seeing these two in action as they modeled the next items. Mika took off her blazer to commit to the angel wing moment, while Brent posed like a modern-day Apollo.
For the next round, they were handed a toy steering wheel and a neon safety vest. Mika stepped into character and pretended to drive, while Brent wore the vest and stood behind her. At this point, it wasn’t about looking ‘modelesque’ anymore—it was just about having fun and making the most out of every random prop thrown their way
BreKa under one umbrella? They didn’t even need rain in the final round to give us such a rom-com-coded moment.
When asked about their best posing tip, Mika shared that it’s always better to go for the effortless look, like an over-the-shoulder glance, as if the camera just randomly called your name. Brent agreed, adding that the best poses are the candid ones, “’Yung parang hindi mo iniisip 'yong gagawin mo.”
