Boying (JV Kapunan) helps Lolita (Lotlot de Leon) carry the goods she bought from the market. Samuel (Gerald Anderson) sees them, prompting Lolita to introduce Boying as a tricycle driver she hired—also one of the victims of the investment scam. Samuel recognizes him. He remembers how furious Boying was and how he had rushed in to their house when the scam was exposed. Sincerely, Samuel apologizes on his father’s behalf.
Boying, showing a great deal of understanding, assures him that they don’t hold a grudge. He says they know Samuel and his family had nothing to do with the scam. Samuel then thanks him for protecting Lolita and King when other victims showed up at their home.
Boying quickly tells him that his conscience wouldn’t allow him to do otherwise. He knew the family was already going through so much. Samuel is deeply moved when he learns that Boying and his wife had invested their ₱10,000 savings—meant to be a down payment for a new tricycle—into the scam. Samuel takes ₱10,000 from his wallet and hands it to Boying. In return, Boying gives him a quick hug to show his gratitude.
Lolita then tells Samuel that they’re still fortunate—because not all the victims have chosen to let go of their anger. "Hindi ‘yung mga biktima ang kalaban natin. ‘Yung mga boss ko ang totoong nagbiktima sa mga katulad ni Boying," Samuel tells Lolita.
Grief-stricken, Anton (Smokey Manaloto) confronts Samuel, recklessly accusing him that his father Mike Trinidad (John Arcilla) has ruined everything for him because of the investment scam. He forces Samuel to face the harsh, painful reality of being scammed—it’s not just about money, shame, or lost opportunities. It shatters lives and relationships.
Samuel apologizes and promises to return the money Anton invested. But Anton, unable to hold back his emotions, says through gritted teeth, “Wala akong pakialam sa pera na ‘yan. Dahil sa pera na ‘yan, nagpakamatay ang anak ko.”
Samuel is speechless. His eyes fill with regret, guilt, and sympathy. Anton presses further, asking if the money can bring his child back. Samuel still can’t speak, but his eyes begin to well up with tears. Anton wants him to remember his face—the face of a father who lost his child because of what they did. Overwhelmed by grief, Anton walks away in tears, carrying the unbearable pain of losing a child.
Meanwhile, inside his car, Samuel sits in silence, still shaken by Anton’s words and the weight of what just happened. In another scene, Anton, overwhelmed by the pain of losing his child and unable to bear the weight of his grief, jumps from a building in tears, ending his life.
At the coffee shop, Enzo (Seth Fedelin) finds Arissa (Francine Diaz) already cleaning. Enzo can’t help but wonder why she arrived so early. Arissa quickly explains that they were just late. One of the staff points out that she both closed the shop the night before and opened it the next morning. Arissa simply says it’s what people do when they love their job—they get excited to show up. She sneaks a glance at Enzo to see if he agrees, but he remains skeptical.
While fixing the closet, Lolita notices that Arissa’s clothes are gone. Worried, she repeatedly tries to call her. Arissa ignores the calls and throws herself into work. Enzo notices that Lolita is calling and urges Arissa to answer, saying it might be an emergency. But Arissa refuses, insisting she’s busy with work. Enzo grows more confused by her behavior, feeling that she’s hiding something.
Jacob (JC de Vera) informs Agnes (Jessy Mendiola) that they’ll have a lunch meeting. Agnes seizes the opportunity to sneak into Roldan’s (Joko Diaz) office, hoping to find evidence linking him to the investment scam—unaware that Samuel is secretly watching her.
When Samuel sees Roldan and Jacob heading back, he quickly messages Agnes. She stops what she’s doing, hides, and tries to figure out an escape. To cover for her, Samuel creates a distraction by engaging Roldan and Jacob in a conversation about his proposal.
Samuel later confronts Agnes, questioning her actions and reminding her how dangerous this is. He warns her that if she gets caught, she knows exactly what the Riveras are capable of—they could kill her. Agnes tells him she understands the risk, but refuses to back down.
“Dahil sa araw na hindi ko sila napapabagsak, mas dumarami ang biktima nila. Mas maraming buhay ang nasisira. Hindi ‘yon kaya ng konsensiya ko,” Agnes tells Samuel. Samuel suddenly remembers what Anton said to him—the words that continue to haunt him.
