Despite her age and being the youngest among the housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition,”  Kapuso actress Charlie Fleming is admirably oozing with confidence, courage, and determination. And certainly, these are among her traits that have helped her get through every task and challenge inside Bahay ni Kuya, as well as make it to the Big 4 alongside her final duo partner, Kapamilya up-and-coming artist Esnyr Ranollo.

Thus, during her guesting on ABS-CBN Studios’ online Bisaya talk show “Kuan On One,” host Melai Cantiveros quizzed the “Bubbly Bread-Teener ng Cagayan de Oro” on where she gets her confidence from and why she has never come off as shy. According to her, she just lives by the “if no one will, who will” mentality and carries that everywhere she goes, so she’s able to make it both in showbiz and in “PBB.“

And just like every person that joined the reality program in the past, she has also picked up a lot of learnings from her stay inside Bahay ni Kuya. But among them, the one lesson that she always goes back to is that “mistakes are blessings”, and she went on to cite her conflict with “PBB Collab” houseguest Ivana Alawi for it taught her to adjust to people and not just focus on herself, through which her housemates were able to see her true self.

While she’s already able to successfully break into the entertainment scene and even join “PBB,” Charlie conveyed feeling like she’s still just starting. Others may have begun their showbiz journey by enrolling in workshops from which they were discovered; she’s grateful that her moment to shine came from “PBB.”

At least, I can say na mas naging start siya.”

Since the 16-year-old Filipina-Scottish stunner said that she’s just starting her career, she was asked by Kuantie Melai whom she would like to work with. She expressed her desire to work with all of the “PBB Collab” ex-housemates and disclosed that they were actually already talking about doing something like a high school-themed show, similar to what they did in their 18-minute one-shot film task.

Unlike other newbies who dream of becoming a lead star in a series or film, Charlie divulged that she actually wishes to be a kontrabida, yet she is also open to playing the main character. When asked by the host why, she explained that it’s because one can get to experiment more when you’re the antagonist and play it your way. Besides, she deems being an antagonist suitable for her because of her fierce aura and personality.

She also dreams of working with fellow Kapuso artist Dennis Trillo, who did an amazing job in his 2024 film “Green Bones.” She wants to learn from his experience, be familiar with his work ethic, and see how he masters his craft as an actor.

With regard to her ultimate celebrity crush, it was apparently Kapamilya multifaceted heartthrob Donny Pangilinan, as Charlie expressed her dismay to Kuya for making him a house guest when she was already evicted. She recounted how she kept dropping subtle hints to Kuya prior to her first eviction by telling him that she wanted to see Donny. She felt it in herself that it would happen—and it did—yet she wasn’t there anymore.

While she couldn’t think of anyone whom she would want to be paired with onscreen for a movie or teleserye, Kuantie Melai thought that she’ll look good with up-and-coming Star Magic talent Robbie Jaworski in a romantic story about forbidden love, to which Charlie is definitely okay with.

As the host veered their conversation to her ultimate idols in the industry whose paths she would want to emulate, Charlie confessed that being an actress was actually not her first goal but becoming a Miss Universe beauty queen. Her favorites are none other than Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray because of how intelligent, confident, passionate, and positive women they both are.

Meanwhile, when it comes to actors, she would probably say that it’s Heart Evangelista who is her peg, for she admires how the A-list star is able to balance being a fashion icon and an actress, not to mention that she’s really interested in fashion, too.

Find out which of our favorite Bisdak artists, celebrities, and/or content creators we’re going to see next in “Kuan On One” as it drops fresh episodes every Tuesday on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s official YouTube channel and iWant.
