While her family was fighting over Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) and Erika (Gillian Vicencio), Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez) suddenly arrived at their mansion with tears in her eyes. She noticed that they were quarreling, then went on to confront Roberto (Albert Martinez) for what he had done in the miting de avance of Tanggol’s team, which hurt many, including her daughter Olivia (Chanda Romero), and killed a few, one of those being her grandchild Iñigo (Albie Casiño). It further enraged her when Roberto said that he had to do it for the sake of their family and that Inigo is part of the collateral damage.
Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) then chastised Doña Pilar for rebuking Roberto, telling her that she didn’t have the right to do so since she and Olivia chose to side with their rival. He went on to remark that—along with her daughter—she already has no space in their family because of what she had done in the past, to which Doña Pilar retorted that it might be best for them to call it quits. But before she completely departs, she would make sure to take with her everything that should have been really for her.
This turned their spat more scorching, with Don Gustavo telling her that she stepped into their mansion with nothing, so she will leave with nothing as well. Of course, this irked Doña Pilar, and she went on to remind him that it was her who had built him into becoming the man that he is, as well as who helped him get into power through sacrificing herself. As she reproached him for lacking debt of gratitude, Don Gustavo clapped back at her by stating that she did not build him but rather she used him for her own personal interests.
