The scoreboard at the Star Magic All-Star Games 2025 told plenty of stories, but we also can't overlook the fun that happened beyond the court.
From spontaneous dance breaks to courtside ‘kilig,’ warm-up huddles and pre-game photos, the behind the scenes of the Star Magic All-Star Games 2025 last July 20 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum was a full-on show of candid 'chaos' that fans will definitely live for. The stars gave us a whole highlight reel of off-court moments that deserve their own championship banner.
Gerald Anderson took a quick break from "Sins of the Father" filming to lead the charge as the coach of Team Star Magic Shooting Stars in their basketball rematch against Cong TV’s Anibilabol Basketbol Team, whom they first faced off with back in 2023. Gerald commanded the court with game-day focus and that signature leading-man charm, even from the sidelines.
Shooting Stars captain Donny Pangilinan and his cheerleader Belle Mariano gave off campus rom-com feels! The pressure was definitely on, as Donny took the captain's seat, but Belle’s courtside cheers and unwavering support brought him a much-needed confidence boost. She was seen holding a giant Donny bubblehead—so cute!
Stars hyped their athlete friends like proud besties. Among those spotted in full support mode were "PBB Celebrity Collab Edition" ex-housemates— Kapamilya stars Ralph de Leon, Bianca de Vera, and Xyriel Manabat alongside their Kapuso former housemates AZ Martinez, Dustin Yu, Michael Sager, and Vince Maristela. They came to cheer on their friends and fellow ex-housemates River Joseph and Emilio Daez, who both played for the Shooting Stars. They made fans even happier when they gave on-the-spot sample performances.
River and Emilio then joined their "Love at First Spike" co-stars Reign Parani, Dylan Yturralde, Bong Gonzales and Binsoy Namoca to promote their series.
And while we live for those JMFyang moments where it feels like they’re in their own little bubble, we also enjoyed seeing former "PBB Gen 11" housemates JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith step out of duo mode and assemble with their "Ghosting" castmates to invite viewers to watch their much-anticipated first iWant project together.
BINI members Jhoanna, Aiah, Stacey, Colet, Sheena, Gwen, and Maloi were spotted carrying banners for BINI Mikha as they cheered her on during the Women’s Volleyball event, where she played as team captain for the Lady Setters. Later, the eight assembled for the finale prod.
"Four Bad Boys and Me" star and BGYO leader Gelo was also present, showing love for JL and Akira, who spiked their way into the Men’s Volleyball Mythical 6, and for Mikki, who played for the Star Magic Shooting Stars in the Basketball event.
And when we say everything was happening beyond the court—we mean everything. Francine Diaz was spotted showing her full support for her love team partner Seth Fedelin. There were sweet glimpses of Dingdong Bahan and Patrick Ramirez, a.k.a. DongPat, exchanging proud smiles after facing off in the Men’s Volleyball match.
There were candid photo ops, too, like Women’s Volleyball MVP Analain Salvador looking absolutely adorable as she posed for the cam. And of course, BINI Mikha, Vivoree, Angela Ken and Carmella Ford served badass energy as they struck a pose.
