We, viewers, admired Charlie Fleming and Esnyr’s grit as young breadwinners in “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab.” Now that they’re back in the outside world as the 3rd Big Placer Duo of the edition, we’re all looking forward to seeing them in more ‘ganaps’ where their talents can shine even brighter.
But before any of that, Kapamilya Chat got ahead of the game in putting their skills to the test via a fun little showdown called "Breadwinner's Got Talent." Here, CharEs took on a series of scenario-based dares designed to bring out their creativity, confidence, and talent, starting off with a challenge where they had to act out their 'feels' on a salary day. And naturally, they went all in with a happy dance performance.
And then, they were dared to drop 10-second impromptu bars about saving money. Charlie definitely deserved two trophies—one for spitting in English, which sounded so 'sosyal,' BTW, and another for switching it up in Bisaya, which was so fun to hear even if you don’t really understand the dialect. It was the vibe and confidence for us. But Esnyr wasn’t about to let her take the spotlight alone, and proved he's also got some entertaining rap skills.
The next round had us in stitches as they were told to sing in a "tired" mood. That’s when Esnyr saw the perfect opportunity to parody Mika Salamanca's viral childhood videos of her singing “Sino Nga Ba Siya” and “The Climb"— complete with that iconic vibrato.
Charlie looked a little pressured, but still went for it and gave us a dramatic sample of Darren Espanto’s “Paalam Muna Sandali," the official 'eviction anthem' of “PBB Collab,” because honestly, if anything can make you feel emotionally drained, it’s the tears that come with every eviction night.
Then came the acting round, where they had to act like they just found out someone took the last slice of bread they’d been saving. Esnyr channeled Klarisse de Guzman’s iconic “OA” line to deliver a 'dramedy' that suddenly turned musical when he added more Mika covers into the mix. Charlie, on the other hand, stayed in character the whole time like an award-winning actress.
CharEs ate and left no crumbs!
