As "Incognito" speeds toward its much-anticipated finale, the Kontraks' battles are only getting more intense. Titled "The Final Mission," the upcoming concluding chapter promises to leave viewers on the edge of their seats, with dramatic plot twists and heart-pounding combats set to unfold.

And if the pilot week spoiled us with star-studded cameos, we bet the finale week will deliver just as much excitement. One of the surprises to watch out for in "The Final Mission" is Vhong Navarro’s special participation as Gaspar, who, based on the trailer, seems to be working with the bad guys.

Vhong gave a sneak peek of his upcoming role during a quick interview with "Showtime Online U."

The multi-talented actor shared that his "Incognito" stint started when he ran into Des de Guzman, boss of Star Creatives. They exchanged a bit of small talk, and he told her how much he misses acting in teleseryes, half-joking but mostly sincere when he asked if he could have a part in "Incognito," since he’s one of the show’s avid followers."Sinusubaybayan ko. Ang gagaling nilang artista. Ang ganda ng konsepto," he shared.

About three weeks later, he got the call inviting him for a special participation in the teleserye's final chapter, which would be filmed in Marawi. "Sa totoo lang, medyo kakabahan at siyempre merong lungkot na kasama," he said about going to the location, which became a war zone during the 2017 siege that left much of the city in ruins. But instead of the somber atmosphere he expected, he was surprised to find the people there so warm and welcoming.  "Sobra silang masaya kasi dinalaw sila ng cast ng ‘Incognito.’ Parang ang laking bagay na sa kaunting paraan, nakalimutan nila 'yung pinagdaanan nila dahil nabigyan sila ng kasiyahan dahil binisita sila ng mga sikat na bida ng ‘Incognito.’"

"Tapos isa na rin ako sa kasamang nagpasaya sa kanila," he added.

Vhong also shared that he felt both excited and nervous when his manager, director Chito Roño, told him about the character he’d be playing, as he'd never done anything like it in his career. "Sobrang nakakakaba. Sana magustuhan ng ating manonood." he said.

She hadn’t been part of a teleserye since "Kokey at Ako" back in 2010, so the jitters were definitely there. "Una sa lahat, kaya ko pa bang mag-memorize ng dialogue?" he remembered thinking, reflecting on how different teleserye work is compared to his daily hosting on “It’s Showtime,” where he just reads a prompter and can ad-lib freely. In teleseryes, while improvising is sometimes possible, he prefers sticking to the script out of respect for the writers’ hard work.

Adding to the pressure was knowing he’d be working alongside such accomplished lead actors, like Ian Veneracion, Richard Gutierrez, Danil Padilla, Baron Geisler, Kaila Estrada, Anthony Jennings, and Maris Racal. He was admittedly nervous but grateful that the creatives and production staff guided him throughout the process.
