McCoy de Leon’s love life has been quite a journey that fans have followed from the very beginning. From meeting Elisse Joson inside the "Pinoy Big Brother" house to falling in love, and now raising their adorable daughter, McLisse's story has been nothing short of colorful.

But if there’s one thing McCoy has learned over the years, it’s that love isn’t always what you expect it to be. He believes that just like people, love matures over time. It changes, it grows, and it’s shaped by experience. "Doon ka titibay," he said, meaning real love isn’t built on just the good times but also on the challenges that test it.

"Hindi pala laging happy," he admitted. "'Pag nando'n ka sa point na down ka, may love pa rin do'n. Masusubukan mo 'yung love 'pag nasa ibaba, 'pag malungkot. Mas mararamdaman mo 'yung love 'pag nasa lowest point ka," he shared when asked about the most unexpected lesson he’s learned about love. Interestingly, he thinks it’s also the biggest misconception about it, "Hindi mo laging makukuha sa happiness.”

Meanwhile, when asked about his love language, McCoy, who plays David Dimaguiba in "FPJ's Batang Quiapo," revealed that it’s physical touch, which might also explain why he finds it easier to act when a scene feels authentic. Sometimes, subtle gestures can make a performance more heartfelt.

This Valentine's Day, take a moment to reflect on what love truly means—just like McCoy did.
