Beth (Charlie Dizon) is brought to the hospital after being unexpectedly assaulted at the cemetery while visiting Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) grave. Moments before her hospitalization, Ryan (Yves Flores) aids her seconds after the assailant gets away, while Chloe (Jewel Milag) also witnesses the attack.
At Amurao High, the teachers gather to discuss Beth’s situation, and one eventually notifies Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol), who appears visibly unsettled by the news.
Upon hearing this, Liezel immediately contacts Angelo (Marlo Mortel), suspecting he might be involved, but he explains he was just out for a morning run. She almost voices her doubts but instead asks if he’ll bring her and Joshua (Lawrence dela Cruz) home at the end of the day.
Back at the hospital, Beth’s condition is stable, and the police officers arrive to take her statement, which only notes one detail about the assailant: the black shoes. Both Ryan and Beth consider who might hold grudges against them—a long list—until Ryan asks the police to leave the case in Locsin’s hands.
Left alone, Beth and Ryan discuss their recent agreement to keep their assumptions about Liezel and Angelo to themselves. However, Beth admits that her concern for Liezel led her to reveal their hidden investigation. Ryan grows more worried and poses several “what if” scenarios, eventually suggesting that they leave the next steps to Erica (Kaila Estrada).
Disagreeing, Beth insists on having solid evidence to avoid ruining Liezel and Angelo’s lives if they turn out to be innocent. At that moment, Mel (Sue Ramirez) arrives, and Ryan heads to the auto repair shop, with the hesitant Chloe accompanying him.
In the car, before being dropped off at Amurao High, Chloe tearfully confides in Ryan and reflects on her earlier thoughts about Louisa’s case, once believing it was merely a compelling story. After witnessing what happened to Beth and feeling that fear firsthand, Chloe realizes that Beth had been right all along.
With Mel taking over Beth’s care and Alice by her side, they consider possible suspects, the first being Scott (Mark Neumann), recalling Beth’s harsh berating of Alice’s husband.
Soon after, everyone is called to the police station following Ryan and Angelo’s physical altercation, and as suspicions publicly surface, even Liezel and Beth engage in a heated argument, ending with Beth pointing out that Liezel herself had questions for Angelo—much to his surprise.
The attempted filing of cases between Ryan and Angelo does not proceed due to a lack of strong evidence. However, tension now shifts to Beth, Alice, and Mel, with Alice troubled by the fact that they focused on doubting Scott while Angelo was also a suspect.
Beth justifies their skepticism toward Scott by citing Alice’s stories about him, but Alice admits she no longer knows what’s real, may have ruined her marriage with Scott, and only hopes that both Beth and Mel will understand.
As Alice leaves, Scott is seen sitting in his car by the sea, seemingly deep in thought.
