From pageants to the “Your Face Sounds Familiar” stage, Dia Mate proves she really has it all! She doesn’t just slay the coronation stage---she’s also bringing her A-game to the music scene. Get to know more about our Singing Reina in this episode of “Atin A10 Lang.”
Dia is the reigning Reina Hispanoamericana, crowned last February 10 in Bolivia as she proudly represented the Philippines. She is only the second Filipina to win the crown, dazzling the audience with her baroque-inspired ensemble that also earned her the Best in National Costume Award.
Prior to winning her international crown, Dia competed in two national pageants. She represented Cavite in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and later joined Miss World Philippines 2024, where she earned the title of Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas. This led her to represent the Philippines globally and bring recognition to the country.
Dia's artistry extends beyond the crown. She is also a talented a singer-songwriter. Her synth-pop anthem “Ganda Gandahan,” released in 2024, became her very first track to reach one million streams. Dia has also ventured into collaborations, with her very first being alongside Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. Their track “Ina,” released in May 2025, pays tribute to the elderly LGBTQIA+ community to celebrate love and inclusivity.
Beyond her achievements, Dia also has her share of personal favorites. She is the eldest sibling to her younger brother and counts sisig as her favorite food, while in sports, she enjoys surfing. At the same time, Dia embraces her fashionista side who loves to style herself and do modeling. To maintain her health, she proudly calls herself a fitness junkie, expressing her love in trying out new workouts and focusing on her wellness.
As she continues to make her way toward stardom and the pageant scene, Dia keeps on slaying. Her dedication and talent show that she is carving out her place as both a respected beauty queen and a rising artist.
