Round 3 of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" came in hot with another batch of celebrity transformations that totally slayed! Weeks 5 and 6 gave us everything from legendary OPM hits to global pop anthems, and the celebrity performers pulled out all the stops to impress the judges and the audience.
This round saw Dia Mate channeling her inner rockstar as Adam Levine, while BGYO’s Akira Morishita took the stage as Charlie Puth. Rufa Mae Quinto surprised everyone with her fun and fearless take on Miley Cyrus, and Pepe Herrera brought raw emotion as Juan Karlos.
Jason Dy impressed with his classic crooner transformation as Frank Sinatra, and JM Dela Cerna stepped up solo to become Ogie Alcasid after his singing partner Marielle Montellano (originally set to perform as Regine Velasquez) was unable to join due to feeling unwell.
Jarlo Base melted hearts as Jericho Rosales, and Alexa Ilacad proved she’s born to slay as BLACKPINK’s Jennie.
From the points given by judges Sharon Cuneta and Ogie Alcasid, along with mentors-turned-guest judges Klarisse De Guzman and Nyoy Volante, Alexa initially topped the scoreboard. However, the tables turned once the celebrity performers gave out their additional three-point votes to their chosen standout.
The votes poured in for Jarlo, as everyone agreed that he was the revelation of the week and that his transformation was the plot twist that allowed him to break out of his shell and show what he’s capable of. And just like that, Jarlo was crowned the third weekly winner of the season, taking home P50,000.
