The “back-to-school" vibe continues inside Bahay ni Kuya as the housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” didn’t just don again the school uniforms given to them by Kuya, but they were also penalized via an old school disciplinary action for the violations they had committed throughout the first week—as seen in the November 4 episode.
As they stepped out of their bedrooms to begin another day, the housemates were shocked and perplexed to see a locker cabinet situated in the living room, which doors had their names on them. Some of them tried to open the locker that bore their name, only to realize that all the doors were locked.
Just when they assumed that it had something to do with their dreaded “Ligtask Challenge,” they were appalled to eventually find out that the lockers actually contained report cards wherein their violations were listed. It was Star Magic artist Fred Moser who was tasked by Kuya to get the keys that would open the lockers in the storage room and handed each to the owner of the lockers.
At Kuya’s go-signal, the housemates opened their lockers one by one, starting with Ashley Sarmiento and Lella Ford, who had one infraction each, which were cursing and talking about confession room topics, respectively. Up-and-coming Kapamilya stars Eliza Borromeo and Rave Victoria both had one violation each as well, which was pointing to the camera and talking about the audition process, correspondingly.
Lee Victor, Fred Moser, Marco Masa, and Anton Vinzon all had two each. Lee was caught talking about outside world and talking without lapel, Fred was punished for talking about nomination and talking about outside world, Marco recalled the instances when he committed non-verbal communication without lapel and whispering, while Anton breached the rule on talking about confession room topic and whispering.
Kapamilya bets and “Ligtask Challenge” teammates Krystal Mejes and Iñigo Jose both had three violations. Krystal was sorry for pointing to the camera, talking about nomination, and talking without lapel, as well as Iñigo for talking about confession room topics, non-verbal communication without lapel, and cursing.
Carmelle Collado had four, which were talking about nomination, talking about the outside world, talking about the audition process, and talking to the camera.
Sofia Pablo and Joaquin Arce were the top rule breakers, as both of them listed five violations each. The Kapuso star was imposed two counts of talking to the camera, talking about outside world, non-verbal communication without lapel, and pointing to the camera, while Joaquin had three counts of talking without lapel, talking about confession room topics, and talking about outside world.
On the other hand, Sparkle talents Heath Jornales, Caprice Cayetano, Princess Aliyah, John Clifford, and Waynona Collings, as well as Star Magic artists Miguel Vergara and Reich Lim, gladly showed everyone their clean report cards.
After the viewing of their report cards, Kuya announced that, just like in previous editions, the violators would be punished for the transgressions they carried out without forethought. Meanwhile, the law-abiders tasked themselves in helping ease the exhaustion and stress felt by the violators.
As punishment to the violators, each of them would carry big and heavy rule books resting on their palms, which were equivalent to the number of rules they broke. They must not drop the books at any time and would have to do it until the time set by Kuya.
Because of how incredibly heavy the five big rule books she had to carry in her arms, Sofia couldn’t help but sob not only because of the weight but of the frustration she felt towards herself for being one of the top violators. Seeing that she was already struggling, some of her fellow violators came to her rescue by taking her other rule books—not caring if they would be reprimanded by Kuya.
Big Brother finally spoke up about it and announced that he would only allow her groupmates Anton, Joaquin, and Lella to help her with her books. Anton took three of Sofia’s loads, while Joaquin took the other two, leaving her with just one on her already tired arms.
From simply making them stand in the living room, Kuya made their punishment extra harder by having them march around the pool without breaking their line. While this level-up posed a challenge to some of the violators as it made them feel more tired, others actually felt relieved that they got to move, which veered their focus away from the exhaustion and fatigued they were already feeling at the time.
The non-violators, on the other hand, stayed on the sidelines as they watched the violators carry the consequences of breaking the rules. They eventually attended to the requests and needs of their punished housemates, as their way of supporting them.
Even though they were struggling on their own loads, some of them still managed to offer help to their fellow violators. Kuya then asked them to stop after an hour of marching around the pool, as he noticed that they seemed not to take their punishment seriously by singing and laughing. Thus, he commanded them to stay put with their arms outstretched this time, which made it more painful for them, especially for Joaquin and Anton who were carrying the most books.
Seeing how Anton and Joaquin were already struggling with his load, Lella suddenly asked Kuya if she could help them, to which Big Brother only allowed her to help one, and she chose Anton, who was standing beside her. During their separate conversations with Kuya inside the confession room, Anton expressed his appreciation to Lella for that selfless act, while Lella imparted that she did it because she couldn’t take seeing her housemates suffer.
To end their punishment, Kuya made another announcement afterwards, telling them that they had to march around the pool 13 times while still carrying the rule books in their arms. In each lap, they had to pick one person who would stop doing the penalty. The 13 laps corresponded to the number of housemates who committed quite grave mistakes inside the house.
All of them agreed that the first one they would choose to step out was Sofia, who instantly became emotional as soon as she put down the book. She tearfully told Kuya during their conversation inside the confession room how she appreciated that gesture of the housemates and how that moment made her feel very loved and cared for.
“Natutunan ko na lahat talaga ng pagkakamali, dito man po o sa labas, sa outside world, may [karampatang] parusa. And it’s a lesson po to be more cautious with our actions, Kuya,” she further stated.
As they carried on with their punishment, tension suddenly sparked between Lee and Joaquin, after the former told the latter, “Arce, behind me. Arce, behind.” This apparently annoyed Joaquin, as he told Lee, “Don’t talk to me like that.”
The second one to exit was Carmelle, who related to Kuya her realizations from the punishment. As the violators debated who should be next, with Joaquin and Anton both insisting that girls should be prioritized first, Lee stepped in and made the decision to remove Joaquin, telling him to “do it for the girls.”
“Kasi kung hindi po ako nag-step in, Kuya, magtutuloy lang po ‘yon. If I stayed quiet na papanoorin ko lang [sila], wala, tatagal kami doon,” Lee explained inside the confessiion room. “The only reason why I picked Joaquin, Kuya, was siyempre katabi ko po siya and nakikita ko rin na nanginginig na ‘yong buong braso niya. I know he’s a strong man, but pagod na siya e. Pagod na lahat e.”
After Anton and Marco, girl housemates Krystal, Eliza, Lella, and Ashley finally had their turns to be ejected from the lap. Next were Iñigo, Lee, and Fred, with Rave being the last one again to finish just like what happened in their “Candelabra de Horror” first weekly task.
As soon as their punishment ended, Kuya reminded the housemates, “Ang parusa ay inyong pinagdaanan hindi para pahirapan o bigyan kayo ng pasakit. Ito ay magsisilbing paalala na ang bawat pagsuway at hindi pagsunod sa bawat patakaran ay laging may kaakibat na consequence o parusa. Dito man o sa labas ng aking bahay. You can never get away from rules.”
