Even though it was against her will to come back to him after everything that he had done to her in the past, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) had no choice but to return to their home with Rigor (John Estrada) after he acquitted her from the criminal charges filed against her.
As soon as she stepped into their house, some of the traumatic memories she had there came rushing into her mind—from Rigor hurting Tanggol (Coco Martin) and ruining their family by allowing Lena (Mercedes Cabral) to live with them to being physically and emotionally abused by him and blamed by him for the death of David (McCoy de Leon).
Rigor noticed how obviously dejected she was, to which Marites retorted that he knew that it was because he only forced her to come with him. As he conveyed his desire for them to start all over again, she was reminded of her ultimate dream when they got married: for them to have a complete and happy family. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen because the home they used to have eventually became hell because of him.
