Entangled in trepidation following Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) tempestuous escape from Bagumbayan prison, his supposed targets—Beth (Charlie Dizon), Alice (Janella Salvador), and Erica (Kaila Estrada)—remain on high alert for even the slightest sign of him coming after them.

At Alice’s home, where Beth is staying temporarily, she hears the shuffle of someone walking nearby, and the sight unsettles her.

The Moras talk a bit about MABEL

With Beth (Charlie Dizon) sleeping over at Alice’s (Janella Salvador) for a while, she exchanges calls with Ryan (Yves Flores), mainly to express her worries about them being left alone in the house amid the dangers posed by Edong (Jake Cuenca).

As soon as the call ends, Chloe (Jewel Milag) seizes the chance to ask Ryan about what’s currently happening, specifically inquiring about Beth and Erica’s (Kaila Estrada) fight—something she has been curious about ever since the nights when Beth seemed hesitant to share details about her past with their now distant friend Erica.

Beth is caught off guard by Alice and Mel

The disquieting sounds of soft steps trigger Beth (Charlie Dizon) to wake up. As she gets up to check the source inside Alice’s (Janella Salvador) house, she is perturbed to realize that it is Alice sleepwalking, who proceeds to sit down and weep in the corner of the kitchen.

In spite of fear slowly taking over her, Beth chooses to sit beside Alice, who begins mumbling vague phrases about someone possibly waiting outside for them. When Beth asks if it’s Edong (Jake Cuenca) she’s talking about, Alice nods, acting as if her hands are tied before finally standing up and walking back to her room like nothing had happened.

When Beth tries to check on the now-sleeping Alice, a knock on the door startles her. The moment she opens it, her shock deepens as she is greeted by the beaming Mel (Sue Ramirez), alive, despite the implication that the severed hand sent to Erica (Kaila Estrada) was hers.

The severed hand never belonged to Mel

A horrifying dream of Louisa (Mutya Orquia) sitting by the house that was MABEL’s hangout spot in the past, laughing sinisterly, startles the slumbering Erica (Kaila Estrada) awake.

Frustrated, Erica uncontrollably scolds Marco for not waking her, but Marco (Race Matias) explains that there are still no updates from the crime laboratory regarding the severed hand’s fingerprints.

Urging Erica to get more rest, Marco is met with her angry refusal, yet he still assures her that the possible victimization of Mel (Sue Ramirez) by Edong (Jake Cuenca) is not her fault.

The anticipated call finally reaches Erica, with the forensics revealing that the fingerprints did not match Mel’s at all. Growing furious, Erica comes to terms with the fact that Edong played a nasty trick on them all—and that it’s just the beginning.

The story behind Mel’s lucky escape

After Mel’s (Sue Ramirez) false distress call to 911, which lured the guards and medics to her locked room, she slips outside through the back door, successfully escaping, with looming panic still in the air.

Looking back every second as she walks outside, Mel (Sue Ramirez) is petrified when someone taps her on the shoulder, fearing it might be Anton (Jameson Blake), but she soon relaxes upon seeing her friend Bianca. A short time later, Mel seizes the chance to get further away by asking Bianca for a ride.

By the end of the day that Mel goes missing, she plans to head to a village—only to find Anton driving out from there. Seeing the place as unsafe for now, she instructs the driver to go somewhere else for the time being.

As time passes, Mel receives a message from Jenny, saying that she misses her and mentioning the birthday cupcakes that Anton saw in an earlier post—prompting him to confront and interrogate Jenny at a party about Mel’s whereabouts.

During Mel’s communication with Jenny, who notices the couple’s concerning behavior, Mel conceals the issue by going along with Jenny’s speculation that they are simply spicing things up in their marriage.

Brushing off her troubles for a while, Mel decides to return to the village.

Edong unmasks his hostility

Under the flickering lights, Edong (Jake Cuenca) laughs wickedly, recalling Erica’s (Kaila Estrada) pleas to spare Mel (Sue Ramirez).

As the questions surrounding the true owner of the severed hand circulate, flashes of Esther (Malou Crisologo) inside a church at night appear, with Edong standing there, waiting for her.

In the junkyard where Edong is currently hiding, he swings an axe at makeshift mannequins bearing photos of Esther, Beth (Charlie Dizon), Mel (Sue Ramirez), Alice (Janella Salvador), and Erica (Kaila Estrada), voicing each of his grievances with them, before spinning an empty bottle to decide who will be his next victim.
