Lucas (JM de Guzman), visibly shaken following Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) confession to acts of sexual abuse he experienced inside Bagumbayan Prison, sobs and laments how he could have helped Edong all along.
Detached from his brother’s empathy, Edong insists that Lucas doesn’t understand the kind of wound that was given to him throughout his time in the prison—one that enlightened him about who he really is and how, through it, he became strong enough to survive on his own.
Unbeknownst to Lucas, the hope of being completely free and starting a new life isn’t the end game for Edong, but rather he yearns to also enlighten the ones who have wronged him—the ones who have mercilessly incarcerated him for 14 years.
Beth and Mel decide to continue the normalcy of their lives
Soon after the meeting between Alice (Janella Salvador), Erica (Kaila Estrada), and Beth (Charlie Dizon) about their safety plans for the elusive Edong (Jake Cuenca), Mel and Beth share that both of them will continue with their schedules—that their lives will never be put on hold just because of Edong.
As the call between Mel and Beth ends, Mel worriedly checks her bruise, which seems to be far from recovery. Slipping into Mel’s office unannounced, Anton (Jameson Blake) informs her that he contacted Tim (Dingdong Bahan) to cancel her upcoming schedules for the reason of keeping her safe inside the house.
Infuriated, Mel reproves Anton’s control over her decisions again. Like an irreplaceable habit Anton has, he puts on another pretentious personality once more, waiting for Mel to come to him as the night ends.
Not long after, Mel hurriedly notifies Tim and Tom (Patrick Ramirez) not to cancel her appointment with Christi Yu—Women of Asia magazine’s editor-in-chief. In support of Mel’s dream feature, Tim and Tom agree but also express their concern for Mel’s condition after the Grace & Glam incident, when she fainted.
Mel assures them that she would be sitting for the duration of the interview and reminds them to avoid listening to Anton’s orders. As the call nears its end, Mel almost spills Anton’s abuse of her, and Tim and Tom wonder about what Mel’s been hiding; even so, they pity Anton instead.
Alice lets her husband contact Seth
Back at Alice’s (Janella Salvador) house, she briefly glances at the police officer and her security guard talking outside before approaching Seth (Rhys Stevens), who is on a call with Scott (Mark Neumann).
When she hears Seth mention the “scary man” who broke into their home days earlier, Alice takes the phone from him and speaks to Scott herself.
Stern and concerned, Scott asks about the intruder Seth mentioned, but Alice brushes it off, downplaying Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) violent trespassing as nothing more than a nightmare Seth supposedly had. Still doubtful, Scott reminds her that he is also Seth’s father and therefore has the right to know their whereabouts—especially Seth’s.
Answering Scott’s inquiry about the duration of their stay in the Philippines, Alice explains that it’s indefinite, though she has arranged with her firm to work remotely. Interpreting this as a form of kidnapping, Scott reminds Alice that they are in the middle of a divorce and that everything she does could affect the custody proceedings.
Perceiving Scott’s explanation as a threat, Alice pulls back, while Scott wonders how their relationship deteriorated so severely and pleads with her to help him understand. Suddenly, Alice recalls her dark dream in which she was bound, and she tells Scott that he knows exactly what he did to her.
Still confused, Scott reminds Alice that he did not cheat on her, yet she coldly responds about when he can call Seth again.
Not even Lucas could stop Edong’s revenge
In disbelief, Lucas (JM de Guzman) questions Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) plans of punishing Erica (Kaila Estrada), Alice (Janella Salvador), Beth (Charlie Dizon), and Mel (Sue Ramirez). Edong calmly corrects Lucas, stating that he won’t punish them but rather, help them to make things right and push them to enlightenment—like what he went through 14 years ago.
Desperate, Lucas reminds Edong of what they talked about after his supposed commutation sentence—from Edong going back to school to building a business together, something he would always take pride in and talk about on their mother’s tomb.
Indifferent, Edong remains firm on his plans, which makes Lucas even more frustrated, and he pleads with him to surrender to NLEA and to not commit another crime like what he did to the brutally beaten and dead Celestino (Bart Guingona).
Not saying anything more, Edong assures Lucas that they’ll meet again when he’s done with everything and disposes of the SIM card, severing the remaining contact between them.
Erica ends up hiding from an alleged pursuer
Marco (Race Matias), accompanied by Erica (Kaila Estrada), talks about how news of Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) escape has already been made public, yet the police force in Amurao seems hesitant to treat it as a priority case.
Erica considers that the mayor of Amurao might be trying to avoid causing panic among the townspeople, but she still worries about the lack of urgency—especially since no one truly knows what Edong is capable of.
With protection already placed around Alice and Beth and the NLEA alerted, Erica doubts that Edong would head straight to Amurao. She insists they approach Lucas (JM de Guzman) again to learn more about Edong’s whereabouts.
Marco recalls Lucas’s shocked reaction upon learning of Edong’s involvement in the ambush at Alice’s house and starts to question whether Lucas could really be his accomplice, but Erica reminds him that Lucas himself remains untrustworthy.
A moment later, Marco offers to drive Erica home, but she declines the help, even playfully tapping his knee before heading to her car. As she drives away, Erica reflects on how Edong might have obtained their phone numbers. She speculates that he could have gotten them from the business cards she frequently distributed to clients and acquaintances, given how well-known she and her friends were in Amurao.
Marco agrees with her deduction, adding that they must remain vigilant at all times, since Edong might already know every detail of their routines.
Arriving at the parking lot, Erica hears a car beep and senses a man following her. Moments later, she quickens her pace and hides, arming herself before confronting the mysterious figure behind her.
