Three weeks into “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” the 20 charming and talented teen housemates are now down to 18 after Kapamilya and Kapuso housemates Reich Alim and Waynona Collings were evicted during the first-ever eviction night of this season.
But before tears and shock filled Bahay ni Kuya due to the heartbreaking exit of the two girls, the November 15 episode commenced on a totally amusing note as this batch’s “Saing King,” Joaquin Arce, encountered a problem while cooking rice. It was supposed to be cooked into fried rice, but since he seemed to have put in more water than needed, it turned out to be very sloppy and sticky.
Fortunately, Sparkle artist Ashley Sarmiento came to his rescue, and they decided to simply cook lugaw (or rice porridge) out of it. Afraid that they might have screwed it up anew, which could lead to food wastage, Ashley and Joaquin added a special secret ingredient to it, which was prayers. Apparently, their teamwork, diskarte, and prayers all paid off as their lugaw turned out successful, with their housemates smiling and jumping for joy as they got a taste of it.
Thus, because of this happy accident, Joaquin has earned the new title of “Lugaw King.”
