It was a revenge drama like no other.
Who could forget that show whose main character’s livid and furious screams for justice gripped afternoon viewers to no end. So affected they were, viewers couldn’t resist the urge to voice out the same cries and witty exchanges in their own social media spaces.
“Wildflower” was the cathartic vehicle everyone wanted to ride.
And every Tom, Dick or Harry, the Juans and the Juanas, could identify with Lily Cruz and Ivy Aguas all for the right reasons, particularly in setting the clear line between good and bad, justice and oppression, virtuousness and self-interest: how a simple family’s life turned upside down with tragedy because of a political rule that is all too familiar.
The Ardientes were just too real for comfort, and we felt we had to do something about it. And thanks to Lily and Ivy, and Maja Salvador’s on-point and riveting portrayal, we accomplished it. Whatever the reason, “Wildflower” was definitely something that hit us hard like a rock and we enjoyed it!
