Since he was already frustrated at not catching the invincible father-and-son tandem, Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) resorted to hurling bombs in the direction of Tanggol (Coco Martin) and Ramon (Christopher de Leon) in an attempt to finally eliminate them.
Unfortunately for him and his minions, their efforts were in vain, as the two proved themselves too dauntless and indomitable with how they still made it out alive. Nonetheless, Lucio still ordered his henchmen to keep on hounding the two until they’re able to kill both of them.
As Tanggol noticed that his dad was already getting enfeebled by the wounds and injuries he had to endure, he energized him by reminding him that he is a Montenegro, so he shouldn't let himself be defeated nor killed. And Tanggol’s pep talk was indeed effective, as it apparently helped Ramon regain his energy and footing, which he needed to continue with the war.
