Like any first night spent living with new housemates, excitement and a hint of jitters filled the air inside Bahay Ni Kuya as "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" officially began. The ‘kabataang Pinoy’ housemates from ABS-CBN's Star Magic and GMA's Sparkle started getting to know one another, as shown in the October 26 episode.
The first batch to enter—Sofia Pablo, Joaquin Arce, Marco Masa, and Carmelle Collado—were in awe of the house's size, the supplies, and the cozy setup. But more than that, their curiosity went straight to the cake sitting right in the middle of the lounge area, leaving them wondering what it was for.
Sofia, being her usual bubbly self, struck up a convo with Carmelle, one of the fresh faces in this season’s batch. Carmelle shared that she’s not really the “quiet girl” people assume, rather, she vibes differently depending on who she’s with. Meanwhile, Sofia, Joaquin, and Marco were already familiar with each other in the outside world.
The next group arrived—Heath Jornales, Krystal Mejes, Miguel Vergara, and Princess Aliyah. And while everyone started off a bit shy, it didn’t take long before the room felt lighter. One of the cutest moments of the night was Marco's reunion with his fellow Kapamilya kids Miguel and Krystal. He then went on a catch-up sesh with Miguel as they reminisced about their fun childhood memories together.
While the first two groups were chatting in the living room, another batch entered—Anton Vinzon, Eliza Borromeo, Rave Victoria, and Waynona Collings. The more housemates came in, the livelier the vibe got! One of the first things they talked about was their ages and birthdays because, of course, what’s a Gen Z get-to-know session without finding out who’s the Leo, Virgo, or Cancer in the group?
Soon, Caprice Cayetano, Lella Ford, Inigo Jose, and Lee Victor walked in, followed by John Clifford, Reich Alim, Fred Moser, and Ashley Sarmiento who completed Kuya’s line-up. Some were super chatty from the start, some were still warming up, and others were thrilled to reunite with familiar faces.
While the living room was buzzing with laughter and introduction as the housemates got to know each other, they were suddenly greeted by the iconic voice of Big Brother for the very first time this season. Kuya welcomed everyone to his home and wished for them to create memories and build genuine friendships during their stay.
Kuya then revealed that the cake displayed at the center of the living room was for Fred, whose birthday fell on the show's premiere, October 25, and which was also part of their first special task that tested how well they could work as a team.
For their very first task, the housemates had to form a human chain using their bodies and clothes to connect the podium where the cake started (inside the living room) to another podium set up in the garden area. They had to stay connected the entire time.
Once the two podiums were linked, the cake had to be transferred by passing it carefully from one housemate to another. As the birthday celebrator, Fred was assigned to stand at the end of the chain and place the cake onto the final podium. Should they succeed, the group would be rewarded with a feast as both their welcome party and Fred’s birthday celebration.
After Kuya announced their very first task, the housemates were puzzled as they couldn't visualize the challenge. Moments later, Ashley, Joaquin, and Rave came up with a strategy and began working together to form the human chain.
Since everyone had their own ideas and talked at the same time, things got a little chaotic at first. Eventually, some of them started taking positions while others began tying items together. Ashley took the lead and started building the actual human chain.
The housemates soon realized that talking all at once wasn’t helping, so they decided to take turns sharing ideas, starting with Marco. After that, things got smoother, and they finally began building the chain from the living room all the way to the garden.
When Kuya gave them the go signal to move the cake, the housemates worked as one and successfully pulled off their very first task— teamwork unlocked!
After successfully completing their special task, the housemates were rewarded with food for their first group meal, which doubled as a welcome treat from Kuya and a birthday celebration for Fred. The dining area was once again filled with laughter, stories, and the excitement of the batch still learning about one another.
At the table, Lella and Joaquin had a fun little “interview” with Anton as they asked him about his life and background, while Lella also bonded with Krystal after finding out they both share Waray roots.
Later on, Kuya called Carmelle to get a letter from the storage room, which she handed to Fred, who was visibly touched upon reading the message from his parents. Moments after, the housemates sang him a birthday song, with Carmelle leading the group.
Before the night ended, Big Brother called each housemate into the confession room to welcome them one by one. Some were nervous, while others were just all smiles, like Sofia, who couldn’t stop grinning and laughing the entire time. For housemates like Krystal and Waynona, the moment felt like a dream come true. Miguel, who admitted he’s on the quiet side, said he’s looking forward to bonding with the other housemates, most of whom he finds more talkative than him.
And even on their first night, some housemates were already clicking right away, just like Carmelle and Princess, who discovered they share a common love for music and that they both came from "The Voice Kids."
As for Carmelle, she confessed she never expected to feel at ease so quickly inside the house, especially since she had no idea who she’d be living with. But thanks to their first special task, she said it instantly sparked a connection among them all. Meanwhile, Marco, who literally grew up in the public eye, shared that he’s looking forward to discovering more about himself so he can grow into the best version he can be.
While most housemates met Big Brother for the first time, for Lella, the experience felt like a reunion. She first heard Kuya’s voice ten years ago when she went in to pick up her mom, Karla Estrada, who was a houseguest back then. Now, she’s all grown up and officially one of Kuya’s housemates.
