She’s bubbly, brave, and now officially a housemate! Sofia Pablo is stepping into her biggest adventure yet as one of the housemates in "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0," the much-awaited edition of the hugely successful "PBB Collab," where Kapamilya and Kapuso artists will live together under one roof.
Dubbed as the "Strong-Willed Sunshine ng Quezon City," the 19-year-old Sparkle talent is about to show everyone her blend of strength and sweetness that fans have loved about her. Consider this your primer on everything you need to know about Sofia before she brings her charisma to Kuya's house!
Growing up years
Sofia carries a beautiful mix of Lebanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Filipino heritage. She’s an only child, but she grew up surrounded by love, with half-sisters on her father’s side and parents who, despite parting ways early on, always made her feel supported. Her dad, who works in the IT industry and is based in Singapore, and her mom, who raised her in Quezon City, both remained constant figures in her life.
Sofia shares a particularly close bond with her mom—they call each other “mare” and love spending time together, whether it’s cooking in the kitchen or having fun at arcades.
Even when life wasn’t picture-perfect, she never felt short of affection. Her mom’s strength and her dad’s consistency taught her resilience early on. When she was 13, her parents eventually found happiness with their respective partners.
Surely, every child who has gone through a similar situation will relate to the heartfelt stories she’s bound to share inside Bahay ni Kuya.
Did you know she was a Kapamilya?
Apart from appearing in commercials as a kid, her first foray into showbiz was through ABS-CBN shows like "Wansapanataym" and "And I Love You So," where she played the young version of Julia Barretto’s character. Even at that age, Sofia’s natural talent and expressive eyes already hinted at her leading-lady potential.
This October marks her 10th year with GMA—and what better way to celebrate that milestone than by representing her Sparkle family in “PBB Collab 2.0”?
She's a creative and an achiever
The mestiza beauty ranked 14th overall among more than 300 students and 4th out of 59 in her strand (ABM or Accountancy, Business, and Management) when she graduated from senior high school at UST Angelicum College in June 2025.
She’s currently a college freshman at the University of Santo Tomas, taking up Communication Arts, proving that she’s just as passionate about learning as she is about performing.
Before conquering the screen, Sofia once ruled the pool as a competitive swimmer.
Outside of showbiz, Sofia’s heart beats for creativity. Apart from traveling, she also loves painting. In another interview, Sofia shared that her love for arts and crafts started way back in childhood when she used to make bracelets, paper roses, and little knickknacks at just six years old. Later, she explored drawing with colored pencils and markers, before finally discovering watercolors at age ten.
As a teen, she became even more invested in experimenting with canvases and acrylics. She doesn’t stick to one theme or subject when painting, but one constant element in her artwork is her use of pastel shades, which she finds calming and soothing to the eyes.
She’s also got the knack for cooking, which she takes after her mom, a former chef. Cooking has always been one of their bonding activities, and her favorite dishes are her mom’s tofu with onions and chili, and her comforting beef nilaga.
With her mom’s background and her own passion for food, Sofia dreams of opening a mixed-cuisine restaurant someday. We’re pretty sure her cooking skills will come in handy inside Bahay ni Kuya and she’s going to whip up something delicious for her fellow housemates.
