Who needs a color palette when "ASAP" can give you an entire rainbow? The October 12 episode was a full-on "kolorcoaster" of emotions and performances from youthful harana to diva anthems and fiery comeback numbers.
Each song and dance spectacle painted the "ASAP" stage with the same passion and entertainment value that have defined its 30-year legacy—one that never, ever fades. As the “ASAP” family teased, this episode was just a taste of the world-class performances awaiting Kapamilyas abroad for the much-anticipated “ASAP in Vancouver.”
The show opened with the magnetic energy of Gen Z OPM favorite Maki, who pulled the audience into a world painted with sound. Maki brought sunrise onstage with his song "Abelyana," and then "Dilaw" which got even brighter when Gary Valenciano and Regine Velasquez joined him, giving off that vibe of blending generations through music, which "ASAP" has always done best.
From the warmth of yellow, the feels carried over to shades of blushing love in "Namumula," this time he sang with Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, and Martin Nievera. "Namumula" first dropped on August 30, 2024 and instantly turned heads in the awards circuit.
Closing the opening segment, Maki served up full-on rainbow happiness with “ROYGBIV,” which might be relatively new to listeners but is a fitting finale to a medley that showcased his vocals and growth as an artist, ending on a high note as he hard-launched exciting news for his fans, including the release of his studio album titled 'Kolorcoaster.'
The "ASAP" stage shimmered with powerhouse vocals as three divas—Jona, Kyla, and Morissette Amon—paid tribute to one of music’s most unforgettable icons, Whitney Houston, whose classic movie "The Bodyguard" is set to become a local musical.
Morissette opened the set with an emotional take on “I Have Nothing,” while Jona effortlessly glided through the high notes of "Run to You," before Kyla closed the medley with her signature sweet, velvety tone with “I Will Always Love You."

Four-piece OPM band IV of Spades made their much-awaited “ASAP” comeback to officially hard-launch their new era of music. The group filled the studio with their signature retro-soul sound as they performed their latest single "Konsensya" which is written by the band's bassist Zild Benitez.
Vocal talent is definitely in the genes of DNA, the newest music trio composed of sisters Tasha, Julia, and Ezri, the daughters of renowned composer and musical director Raul Mitra and singer Cacai Velasquez-Mitra and nieces of Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. The Asia's Songbird herself joined them onstage for one awe-inspiring number.

The celebration continued with Erik Santos, who marked his birthday with a heartfelt version of “Love Will Lead You Back," made even more special by the warm messages that followed from his loved ones and “ASAP” family.
Closing the episode on a powerful and unifying note, the ASAP Chorale joined OPM pillars Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, and Martin Nievera, together with Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, Morissette Amon, and Darren Espanto in a moving rendition of Barry Manilow’s “One Voice," which echoed a message of hope and solidarity, singing as one amid the tragedies and challenges the nation continues to face.
