As Jericho Rosales looks back on his journey portraying Tyrone de Vera in "Lavender Fields," he says he enjoyed the ride. And it shows. It's clear from the warmth of his smile and the glow in his eyes how happy he is with the experience.
He shares that the ensemble cast and the story made being part of the series even more exciting. After decades of acting and six years of rest before taking on this project, Jericho feels like everything about it was new.
"It was a great playground for me. I still learned a lot. I still enjoyed a lot. I think I improved a lot. I am so lucky to be part of this team who embraces the different shades of the show," he says.
In “Lavender Fields,” he was equal parts romantic and dangerous, charismatic and cruel, dramatic and action-packed, and more. Tyrone, the gun dealer stuck in complicated relationships, was a multifaceted role, a mix of the old and the new for Jericho.
But he roots for his character, and honestly, he admires that Tyrone never gave up until he did what he thought was right, a trait that Jericho believes resonates with many. "Gusto kong makita nila na talagang hango ito sa tema ng humanity. Nangyayari talaga siya," he adds.
As the series reaches its final episode, tonight, January 17, Jericho is excited for viewers to join in on this crazy and thrilling ride, and he hopes they also dive deep into the lessons the narrative and characters have offered. "'Pag napanood nila 'yung finale, sana makita nila 'yung sincerity ng pagtanggap namin do'n sa naging istorya," Jericho says, signing off as Tyrone.
