The comedy showdown of the year is now part of the biggest Filipino movie tradition for the holidays!
Following the historic announcement of their first-ever big-screen collaboration last July 5, Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto are set to bring the laughs to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) with “The Greatest Showdown”. Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the all-out comedy movie is one of the official entries to the 2026 MMFF, opening exclusively in cinemas this Christmas.

Co-produced by Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, M-Zet Productions, and APT Entertainment, “The Greatest Showdown” was officially unveiled as part of the first batch of entries during the 52nd MMFF kickoff event on July 7 at GH Mall in San Juan City.
The upcoming film follows QUEENIE (Vice Ganda) and KINGSTON (Vic Sotto), two sworn enemies determined to outdo and sabotage one another in a chaotic but hilarious all-out rivalry. It also marks the third MMFF film collaboration between Vice and Direk Jun following “And the Breadwinner Is...” (2024) and “Call Me Mother” (2025).
Along with “The Greatest Showdown”, three other films were also announced as part of this year’s MMFF lineup so far, namely “2nd Miracle in Cell No. 7”, “Amir”, and “Haunted Carnival”.
Don't miss Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto in one of the most anticipated comedy events of the year as “The Greatest Showdown” arrives in cinemas this December 25, as part of the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival!
