One of the most well-loved matinee idols, Diether Ocampo made fan girls fall head-over-heels in love with him back in the ‘90s.
As he marks his 53rd birthday this July 19, we are putting the spotlight on some of the most iconic roles he portrayed on the big screen. These roles made him the perfect leading man and we will always be a fan. Check them out:
‘Jologs’ (2002)
Diether played the role of Mando in this 2002 barkada movie, which gave us a lot of lessons about friendship and life in general. Mando was just among the many characters in the film that millennials today can still relate to.
‘Bcuz of U’ (2004)
This 2004 romcom is just one of the many projects where Diether worked with the gorgeous Kristine Hermosa. Being one of the most-shipped tandems of the early 2000s, Diether and Kristine gave their fans a lot of kilig in this movie as they played characters who rekindled their love affair years after they broke up.
‘Nasaan Ka Man’ (2005)
Set in beautiful Baguio City, this thriller saw Diether, Claudine Barretto, and Jericho Rosales join forces. This also marked Diether and Claudine’s third movie together. While Diether usually makes our heart race with his irresistible charm, he does the same in this film — only now with his chilling portrayal of a vengeful man.
