Former “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” housemates Will Ashley, Dustin Yu, and Bianca de Vera are reuniting for the first time on the big screen in the upcoming film “Love You So Bad”. The project is a landmark collaboration between Star Cinema, GMA Pictures, and Regal Entertainment, with director Mae Cruz-Alviar at the helm, and with a screenplay written by Crystal San Miguel.
According to San Miguel, the film takes inspiration from the late beloved director Wenn V. Deramas’ “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita”, which starred Claudine Barretto, Rico Yan, and Diether Ocampo. She explained, “It’s not just a love story, ‘yong film na ‘yon, na-capture n’ya rin kasi ‘yong generation noon. Until now, it has become timeless.”
Direk Mae meanwhile stressed that “Love You So Bad” is not a remake but rather a fresh story inspired by Deramas’ classic. She noted that the trio’s bond and dynamics inside the PBB house played a big role in shaping the film. As Direk Mae pointed out, “It’s a classic love triangle story, and we wanted a story that can capture that. Kasi alam naman natin kung ano ‘yong naging charm, ano ‘yong naging kwento nila sa bahay ni Kuya.”
The director also assured that the story will be something that will resonate with the youth, as well as the fans of all three lead stars.

When asked about their reactions to landing the project, the three stars expressed both excitement and gratitude.
“Wow! As in ‘wow’ talaga… Dream come true ito para sa amin,” Will Ashley shared.
Dustin Yu admitted he was especially thrilled to work with Cruz-Alviar, citing his admiration for her past works. “Halos lahat ng ginawa ni direk, pinapanood ko talaga… Super honored talaga,” he said, revealing that “Crazy Beautiful You” is his favorite among her films.
Bianca de Vera described the opportunity as both surreal and overwhelming: “Parang kahapon lang, kakalabas lang naming ng bahay ni Kuya. Parang kahapon lang, Big Night lang, and then now we’re doing this big project, this milestone with Regal, GMA and of course, Star Cinema.”

The film also marks the second collaboration between Bianca and Will, who both starred in the 2023 GMA primetime drama “Unbreak My Heart”.
As for when audiences can expect “Love You So Bad” to hit cinemas, the cast and creative team are keeping details under wraps for now. “Soon,” they teased, while thanking their fans for the unwavering support and promising a film that everyone will enjoy.
