‘A Very Special Love’ (2008)
This romcom follows the story of Laida Magtalas (Sarah Geronimo) as she starts working in the same company with her long-time crush Miggy Montenegro (John Lloyd Cruz), who’s actually far from the prince charming she thought he was. With the film being a box office hit, Sarah and John Lloyd returned for two more Laida-Miggy films: “You Changed My Life” (2009) and “It Takes a Man and a Woman” (2013).

‘Radio Romance’ (1996)
In “Radio Romance”, Veronica (Gelli de Belen) works as a librarian by day and a DJ by night. She hosts a radio program where she reads love letters on air and offers love advice to listeners. The film features the hottest stars of the ‘90s as part of its cast, including Rico Yan and Claudine Barretto.
BreKa (Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca) and DusBi (Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera) serve fanservice by reenacting Gary (Rico Yan) and Marian’s (Claudine Barretto) car fight from the film, a scene that’s popularly done by couples on TikTok:
‘Tunay na Tunay: Gets Mo? Gets Ko!’ (2000)
In this action romcom, undercover cop Nick (Robin Padilla) starts working as a chef in a Chinese restaurant to hide from enemies. He becomes friends with the restaurant’s waitress, Tin Tin (Jolina Magdangal), who has secrets of her own. This was Jolina’s first movie with a different leading man, after the popularity of her romantic films with Marvin Agustin.
