Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is set to give fans an intimate look at her life and career with the upcoming documentary SONGBIRD, slated for release in 2027.
Regine unveiled the project on August 3 through her official Facebook page as part of the year-long celebration of her 40th anniversary in the entertainment industry.
Produced by iMusic Entertainment in partnership with GOAT Creative Studios, SONGBIRD follows the music icon as she prepares for her much-awaited The Finale concert "while reflecting on the triumphs, sacrifices, and legacy of her extraordinary career."
Alongside the announcement is a teaser video that offers fans a glimpse into her preparations for the concert, marking 93 days to go before she takes the stage in October.
The teaser shows Regine during rehearsals with veteran musical director Raul Mitra. Before performing one of her signature songs, "Shine," the Filipino icon candidly admitted: "I'm actually scared of these."
With her signature vocals in the background, the video weaves together treasured moments from different chapters of her life, including childhood photos, heartwarming memories with her late father Mang Gerry, clips from her past performances, and photos with her husband Ogie Alcasid and their son Nate.
The documentary is set to premiere in theaters in 2027, with more details to be revealed soon.
The announcement delighted longtime supporters, many of whom shared their excitement online and that they were already emotional after watching the teaser.

The documentary announcement comes just days after the overwhelming response to ticket sales for The Finale. During the July 30 ticket selling, the first concert night sold out in just 45 minutes, while registration for the free second day show drew more than 50,000 fans online, with ticket availability down to zero in just nine minutes.
The Finale will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on October 17 and 18, with Paolo Valenciano serving as stage director and Raul Mitra as musical director.
