MANILA -- Content creator, actress, and singer Mika Salamanca could not hide her excitement as ticket selling continues for her upcoming "Mahika" album launch and fan event happening this May 30 at the SM North EDSA SkyDome.

During the ticket selling, Salamanca shared how meaningful the event is for her, especially because it gives her the chance to personally connect with supporters who have stayed by her side throughout her journey.

The social media personality added that the event is something she truly wants to dedicate to her fans.

"Actually itong fanmeet na 'to, itong album launch na 'to, parang sa kanila talaga," she shared.

Salamanca is set to officially introduce her debut album "Mahika," which features seven tracks, most of which have never been heard by the public before.

"Parang mga 80 percent ng mga songs dito, hindi pa nila narinig," she revealed.

The singer also expressed gratitude to Star Music for allowing her to take her time in completing the album, saying the project became more special because it was created from the heart.

"Sobrang grateful ko sa Star Music kasi hindi nila akong minadali with this. Kasi alam nila na when it comes to music, I really take my time," she said.

Aside from preparing for the album launch, Salamanca is also balancing acting commitments, including her ongoing series "The Secrets of Hotel 88."

TURNING BASHING INTO MOTIVATION

Meanwhile, Salamanca said she is choosing growth over negativity, as she opened up about dealing with criticisms surrounding her acting career.

While harsh comments can be painful, Salamanca says she chooses to see them in a positive light.

"Ako, I always think of them as constructive criticism," she said.

Salamanca recently went viral for her performance in the series "The Secrets of Hotel 88," which sparked mixed reactions from netizens. She is the first to admit that she is still learning the craft.

"Aminado naman ako, I'm not the best sa acting," she said. "Kaya din I'm grateful sa lahat ng mga nakakasama ko sa taping, sa lahat ng mga nakikilala ko sa mga projects na nakukuha ko ngayon."

She is currently working on two movie projects, which she described as valuable learning experiences in her journey as an actress.

"Ang dami ko natutunan sa mga taong kasama ko dito. I'm really grateful," she added.

Salamanca believes that making mistakes is simply part of growth, especially in an industry where public opinion can sometimes be unforgiving.

"And I think that's the most important thing. Huwag kang matakot magkamali," she said.
