ABS-CBN Music released an official statement earlier this week to send a warning to BINI fans over the rampant spread of fake emails and solicitation of money on Weverse. On their official social media accounts, the music label maintained that these emails allegedly coming from them are "fraudulent and unauthorized.”
“Beware of fake accounts posing as representatives and asking for money or personal info on Weverse,” they wrote in their caption.

In their official statement, Star Music has denounced any involvement with the emails asking for money on the fandom app, Weverse.
“ABS-CBN Music warns the public against individuals falsely posing as Star Music representatives who are soliciting money and personal information from BINI fans through a supposed 'fan portal' on Weverse,” the official statement wrote.
“Please be advised that any messages or emails claiming to be from Star Music and requesting payment or personal details on Weverse are fraudulent and unauthorized,” the statement added.
The music label warned BLOOMs not to interact with any of the fraudulent messages and to rely only on the official and verified accounts for updates. They revealed that they are already in contact with the “relevant teams” that will help in reporting these said accounts.
“Fans are strongly advised not to engage or transact with such accounts and to rely only on our official and verified channels for legitimate announcements and activities. We are coordinating with relevant teams and platforms to report and take down these fake accounts,” they ended.
It was back in March when BINI joined the South Korean fandom app which was developed by HYBE and designed for direct interaction between artists and fans. Thousands of BLOOMs from all over the world have already subscribed to BINI’s Community on the South Korean platform, Weverse, since it opened on March 16.
