Olivia Rodrigo released her first single titled "Drop Dead," off her new album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl so in Love.
The Filipino-American singer dropped the track on Friday, April 17 (PH time).
"'Drop Dead' is out now!!!! I love this song so much!!! It’s the first chapter in the story of ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl so In Love’ and it makes me wanna skip around and roll the windows down and make out!" Olivia posted on her Instagram page upon the release of the song.
She also shared the details about the filming for the music video of the song, which was also released on the same day.
"I was lucky enough to film the music video at the Palace of Versailles a few months ago with the wonderful @petrafcollins and I’m so stoked with how it turned out. I hope you guys love it as much as I do xoxoxoxo 🩷🩷🩷🩷🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼💋💋💋💋 @chateauversailles," she said.

Olivia is set to release You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl so in Love on June 12.
"I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it. available for preorder now! 🩷," she previously posted on Instagram as she announced the release date of the album.
In a recent interview with British Vogue, the singer admitted that creating the album posed a unique challenge, especially since she was in a happy relationship at the time.
"It was a creative challenge to write from a joyful place. When you’re experiencing that you’re connected to someone, or feeling really good, you’re not in your head thinking about bittersweet poems!" she pointed out.
The singer also hinted that many of the songs lean toward "sad love songs," adding, "I realized all my favorite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them."
