MANILA -- OPM singer-songwriter Rob Deniel has released his latest single "Ikaw Sana," which was originally recorded by OPM veteran Ogie Alcasid.
The track is now available on music streaming platforms, while its performance video can be viewed starting Wednesday night on YouTube.
It will be recalled that Deniel performed "Ikaw Sana" and "Nandito Ako" for the Ogie Alcasid tribute at the 10th Wish Music Awards. As of writing, his performance of Alcasid's hits has been viewed for over 34 million times.
Last month, for his birthday celebration on "It's Showtime," Alcasid performed "Ikaw Sana" with Deniel.
"Ako ay nagpapasalamat sa iyo Rob dahil sa iyo ay nakilala ng kabataan ang mga awitin ko. Thank you very much, it's my honor that you a great and wondeful musician singing my songs," Alcasid told Deniel.
During the pandemic, Deniel released his debut single "Ulap." He is also behind the songs "Ang Pag-Ibig," "Gabi," "Diwa" "Kundiman" and "Sinta."
