K-Pop idols Yeonjun of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Jungwon of ENHYPEN, and Huh Yunjin of LE SSERAFIM have become members of the Recording Academy, the prestigious organization behind the Grammy Awards.
"They’ve been inspired by the generations that came before them, and now they’re shaping the latest era of K-Pop," the Recording Academy posted on social media upon announcement.
The three artists are part of the Recording Academy’s 2025 New Member Class, representing the global impact and cultural influence of the new wave of K-Pop.
"From aspiring artists to leading stars, these New Gen K-Luminaries have fearlessly pursued their dream in music, connecting with various hearts around the world," the Academy said. "As they light up many fans’ lives and music stages, they also continue to define the legacy and evolution of K-Pop, emphasizing how music transcends languages and brings us all together. #IAmTheAcademy."
Through the Recording Academy Membership, the Academy "represents the voices of all music professionals — from performers, songwriters, executives, producers, engineers, creator representatives, music educators, and more" as per recordingacademy.com.
Yeonjun debuted in 2019 as a member of TOMORROW X TOGETHER under BigHit Music with the release of their extended play (EP) The Dream Chapter: Star. The EP debuted and peaked at number one on both the Gaon Album Chart and Billboard World Albums Chart. The group is known for hit songs such as "Love Language," "Over the Moon," "When the Day Comes," and "Deja Vu."
Jungwon debuted as part of ENHYPEN in 2020 through the survival show I-LAND, under BELIFT LAB. The group released their debut extended play Border: Day One in November 2020. They are behind the hits "XO (Only If You Say Yes)," "Bite Me," "Outside," "No Doubt," among others.
Huh Yunjin debuted in 2022 as a member of LE SSERAFIM under SOURCE MUSIC with the release of their extended play Fearless. The group is known for songs like "Crazy," "HOT," "ANTIFRAGILE," "Smart," and "Different," among others.
