The coming-of-age musical We Aren’t Kids Anymore by Drew Gasparini is heading into its final six shows this week at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Circuit Makati.
Barefoot Theater Collaborative, the company behind critically acclaimed productions such as Mula sa Buwan, Pride Plays, The Last Five Years, and Bar Boys: A New Musical, announced the musical’s closing week on their official social media pages.

We Aren’t Kids Anymore began its Manila run on May 2, headlined by an all-star cast: Gab Pangilinan, Gio Gahol, Luigi Quesada, Myke Salomon, and Maronne Cruz. The production is directed by Rem Zamora, with Myke Salomon and Farley Asuncion serving as musical directors.
The musical follows the lives of five individuals as they navigate the complexities of growing up, reflecting on the joys, struggles, and revelations that come with adulthood.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the cast shared personal insights and what they hope audiences take away from the show.
“We are all figuring our stuff out and yes, you may leave the theater feeling a little less alone in life because you would realize that oh wow I’m not the only one who's going through stuff. Everyone has their own baggage, everybody deals with changes–– their own things,” Gab Pangilinan shared.
Maronne Cruz added, “Growing up can feel like a lonely thing but just know that everyone feels lonely while growing up. It’s really not that lonely because we're all in this together.”

Gio Gahol remarked on the complexities of adulthood, saying, “Jumping into adulthood–– some of those freedoms–– they start to feel like baggage that hinders you from moving forward. You have to face that. Sana mapulot yung ganun aral.”
Myke Salomon emphasized that the production isn’t about preaching: “We are here to present and we’re here to tackle it together, to unpack it and process it together.”
