Photo courtesy of Jisoo via Warner RecordsKorean actress and singer Jisoo, best known as a member of the hit girl group Blackpink, released Friday her debut extended play (EP) "Amortage," showcasing various stories of love.
The four-track EP takes its title from a fusion of the words "amor" (meaning "love") and "montage," reflecting its overarching theme, according to a press release from Warner Records, which partnered with Jisoo for her solo releases.
"It is a collection of stories about love - the highs, the lows and everything in between," Jisoo said in a statement, referring to the EP.
"I poured my heart into this project and I’m so excited to share it with you all," the 30-year-old artist said, adding that the album was dedicated to Blackpink's fans called Blinks.
The EP is led by the single "Earthquake," which was released alongside a music video featuring actor Cha Seung-won.
"Amortage" marks Jisoo's music comeback following her solo debut with the 2023 single album "Me," fronted by the single "Flower."
Jisoo also set to embark on a fan meet tour titled "Lights, Love, Action!", which includes a stop in Manila. The exact date, venue and ticketing details have yet to be announced as of writing.

The idol born Kim Ji-soo rose to fame as a member of Blackpink, which debuted under K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment in 2016.
Apart from music, Jisoo has also ventured into acting, taking on lead roles in series such as "Snowdrop" and "Newtopia."
