Baguio-rooted band Cup of Joe emerged as the most-listened-to local artist on Spotify in the Philippines for 2025, with their hit "Multo" topping the list of most-streamed songs.
The music streaming service released Thursday its lists of the top five local artists, groups and songs for 2025 — with Cup of Joe taking the No. 1 spot across all categories.
In the top artists list, Cup of Joe was followed by December Avenue at No. 2, Arthur Nery at No. 3, Dionela at No. 4, and TJ Monterde at No. 5.

December Avenue also placed second in the top groups list, followed by Ben&Ben, Parokya ni Edgar and Silent Sanctuary.
Cup of Joe's "Multo," a sentimental synth-pop track about being weighed down by memories of a past relationship, was crowned the most-streamed local song on the platform.

Earl Agustin's "Tibok" followed at No. 2, with Dionela's "Marilag" placing third.
Amiel Sol's "Sa Bawat Sandali," which gained popularity through the series "Ang Mutya ng Section E," ranked fourth, while hip-hop artist Hellmerry's "My Day" rounded out the top five.
TOP PODCASTS
Apart from music, Spotify Philippines also unveiled its top podcasts, with Barangay LS 97.1’s "Barangay Love Stories" claiming the top spot, followed by "Papa Dudut Stories."
Relationship podcast "Will Talks" ranked third, with "Dear MOR" placing fourth. Meanwhile, "Sitio Bangungot - Pinoy Horror Stories for Sleep Podcast," which features Filipino horror stories, landed at No. 5.

In terms of genre, "Barangay Love Stories" was also named the top love and relationship podcast, while "Sitio Bangungot" emerged as the top horror podcast.
"The KoolPals," hosted by stand-up comedians, brought laughter to listeners as the top comedy podcast, while Dani Barretto's "The Bare It All Podcast" was named the top wellness podcast.
"Chicks 2 Go," hosted by Ashley Rivera and Hershey Neri, was recognized as the top new group podcast of 2025, while Sophie Prime's "Dagok Time!" was cited as the top new solo-host podcast, according to Spotify.
