MANILA -- The country's homegrown R&B queen, Kyla, is ready to pour her heart out on Saturday when she celebrates 25 years of her career in a milestone concert.
Days before the event, Kyla admitted that she is feeling some jitters.
"Two weeks prior to today, kinakabahan na ko. Pero I'm also excited, looking forward to seeing the fans that I have never seen for such a long time. Kahit Iilan lang sila, I'm excited to see them," the singer said.
According to Kyla, some of her fans from the United States, Canada, Singapore, and other countries will fly in for the concert.
"'Yung gagawin ko, it's something I haven't done before in any of my concerts," she said. "Although they will hear familiar songs that they have seen performed before but it will be a different take this time 'cause I'm matured now, my voice has changed, in a good way I hope."
"This is something very special, 'cause this is a milestone," she added. "I want to celebrate it by singing for them, yung mga tao na who have been rooting for me and really supporting me."
Some of Kyla's guests include Bugoy Drilon, Jason Dy and Jonathan Manalo who played a vital role in her career when they teamed up for the teen motivational song 'Tara Tena' for the Himig Handog competition.
The "Kyla Soundscape" concert is happening on October 18, Saturday at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.
