Rising hip-hop artist Young Blood Neet shared how music is able to help him show his authentic self to his fans. In a pocket presscon for his latest single, "Good Girl," the "ILY" hitmaker shared his creative process and thoughts about his steady rise in the Philippine hip-hop scene.
Young Blood Neet is one of the most followed OPM artists on Spotify with over 2 million monthly listeners. His hit song "ILY" has over 61 million plays on the music streaming platform as of this writing.

When asked about how he felt when his song made rounds on TikTok earlier this year, the young artist admitted he didn’t expect it at all. For him, it was one of his songs that he couldn’t believe would make his presence known.
“Kapag papakinggan niyo yung ibang music ko, sobrang layo nun. Kumbaga, yung music ko kasi is complex. Yung song na yun, sobrang simple lang–– kung ano pa yung hindi mo pinaghandaan o pinagplanuhan, yun pa ang pumutok,” he shared.
His music has been used in more than 150,000 videos on TikTok alone with several Filipino celebrities hopping on the trend as well.
Young Blood Neet added that he doesn’t see anyone but himself ascompetition. It is through his music that he is able to speak his mind which his millions of listeners could relate to.
“Nalalabas ko lang yung expression ko sa kanya eh. Tingin ko kaya din nag hit yung mga ginawa namin na projects dahil siguro sa authenticity. Wala kaming ginaya na ganito,” he added.

More than fame, the rising star shared that he has already achieved something in his four years in the industry–– getting to know his true self.
“Sa ngayon, higit sa pera yung naachieve ko eh. Ang na achieve ko ngayon is parang nakilala ko ng maaga yung sarili ko. Yun naman talaga yung binabyahe ng bawat isa sa atin–– makilala mo sarili mo. Nakilala ko kung paano ako nagrereact pala, ganun pala akong klaseng tao. Aware na ako. Mas importante yun kesa sa pera,” he shared.
