From surviving a deadly shark to overcoming personal struggles, actress Lana Condor takes on one of her most intense roles yet.
In the new thriller "The Devil’s Mouth," five friends find themselves trapped inside a cave with a deadly shark.
In an interview with Hollywood correspondent Yong Chavez, the actress shared how the physically demanding film challenged her and what survival means to her character and in real life.
"Max and I are very different. There are certain parts that I'm the same. I'm very decisive and intuitive, and she has selfish tendencies, and I am very much more of a team player than Max is. The thing that's been hardest for me to survive is grief. It’s something that I deal with on a day-to-day basis, and that's something that I'm very proud of continuing to survive through," Condor said.
Best known for the romantic film series "All The Boys I've Loved," Condor said she's excited to take on new challenges through her latest projects.
When asked if there was a survival skill that she actually learned about making the movie, Condor replied: "I am a much stronger person after making this movie, for sure. We all got scuba-certified. We got deep sea dive-certified. So we did actually get practical skills from making this film. It was very intense."
