James Reid wins Album of the Year at 17th Star Awards for Music. Echo Jham Entertainment
James Reid was one of the top winners at the 17th Star Awards for Music at Teatrino in San Juan, where he was spotted overjoyed after getting the highest honor Album of the Year for "jgh."
Reid said it was always a rewarding moment when his music is recognized, as he puts his heart and soul into it.
After taking photos with his co-winners, Reid graciously entertained media to discuss his highly awaited Kapamilya series "Someone, Someday” with Kathryn Bernardo.
Praising Bernardo, he said: “She’s super grounded. Very hands-on with the project. She really makes the set feel like a family. I learn a lot from working with her, as I've mentioned.”

Admitting that being paired with the A-list Kapamilya actress comes with its own pressure, he continued: “To be honest, I was very nervous. There’s a lot of pressure working with such big names in the industry.”
He added, “But I actually learned a lot while working with Kathryn. I’m very excited to watch this project.”
The series also marks the actor's comeback. His last film project was "Miss Granny" in 2018, while his most recent TV series was "Till I Met You," in which he costarred with Nadine Lustre, who was still his girlfriend at the time.
Regarding his return to TV, he shared: “I felt as if I had never left, like I was back home. Malapit nang matapos, so it’s going to be out maybe in July. I can’t wait.”
“I’m super excited about this project, especially since it’s also a collaboration with Maja Salvador. It’s definitely something I’ve never done before, so I’m very excited,”Reid said.
