Charo Santos returns to horror in Jerrold Tarog's 'Knock Three Times'

MANILA -- Screen veteran Charo Santos welcomed the first reveal of the horror film “Knock Three Times,” which pairs her with Christopher de Leon, Julia Barretto and Tony Labrusca under the direction of Jerrold Tarog. 

In a social media post on Tuesday night, Santos said they introduced the movie for the first time at Cine Expo 2026 by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP).

"A meaningful first knock. ✨ Proud to introduce 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 for the very first time at CEAP Cine Expo 2026, alongside the people and partners who continue to shape and champion Philippine cinema," Santos wrote.

"Grateful to share this journey with Christopher de Leon, Julia Barretto, and Tony Labrusca in 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬, the upcoming horror film by Jerrold Tarog under CreaZion Studios. 🎥."


In the comment section of Santos' post, Barretto left the message: "Excited!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️."

Santos replied to Barretto with words: "Me too! I’ve watched you grow into your own. So proud of you @juliabarretto .❤️."

Entertainment news outlet Variety was the first to report about the horror movie, whic  follows a young woman who returns home from rehab, only to find her mother under the influence of a sinister antique mirror. 

Julia Barretto, Charo Santos, Christopher de Leon among stars of Jerrold Tarog horror film

Tarog, best known for his "Bayaniverse" films, has also directed several episodes of "Shake, Rattle & Roll" as well "Aswang," the 2011 horror film starring Lovi Poe and Paulo Avelino.

Santos has appeared in the psychological horror classic "Kisapmata" and, more recently, "Eerie," while Barretto starred  in the zombie horror film "Block Z"  

De Leon, meanwhile, starred in the 2015 horror film "Tragic Theater," while Labrusca has appeared in films such as "ML" and "U-Turn."
