MANILA -- Celebrity moms Janella Salvador, Elisse Joson, and online personality Vlad Magallanes, along with their kids, are set to headline the new family reality series from ABS-CBN “Lactum Bibo-lilits Galing Challenges 2.0.”
The show, which will be available for streaming beginning April 24 on ABS-CBN Entertainment's YouTube channel, highlights children's capabilities.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Salvador and Joson expressed happiness doing a show with their kids.
"Nakakatuwa. Same naman kami (ni Elisse), hindi kami super laging nagshi-share ng mga personal stuff about our kids, we only chose the moments we share. So this show really gave us the chance for people to see kung paano talaga kami, 'yung dynamics namin with our kids ang 'yung galing mga bata," Salvador said.
"And hindi naman showbiz 'yung mga anak namin but I feel like this is a good chance for them to be in the spotlight kasi this will teach other parents and families as well. Hindi lang kasi siya fun, fun maraming makikitang like life skills that they can use as they grow up. It was a nice moment for us with the kids," Joson said.
For the actresses, a key consideration in taking on the show is that their children enjoy what they do.
"Kinonsider ko rin kung kakayanin ba niya 'yung ganoong klaseng work. So far naman kinaya naman nila," Salvador said.
"I guess as long as they are enjoying, 'yung hindi siya trabaho talaga. Kasi they are really kids playing and having fun and doing tasks that are kid-friendly. So for us as moms, okay 'yon," Joson added.
With the theme "Bibo Today, Ready Tomorrow," Joson and daughter Felize, Salvador and son Jude, and Magallanes and daughter Akasha will take on challenges that are more meaningful. As the kids are exposed to the big world while doing daily tasks, they will also learn valuable life skills that will prepare them for the future.
When asked if they will now allow their kids to join show business, Salvador said: "Kung gugustuhin nila, why not? Pero huwag na muna ngayon."
Joson said: "Kami na muna 'yung magtatrabaho, huwag na muna sila. But here and there you know if there's another opportunity that comes along na ganito rin ka-enjoyable and light, 'yung hindi mapapagod ang mga bata and also fulfilling, why not? Artista? Huwag na kami na lang."
