MANILA -- After weeks of amazing transformations, ABS-CBN's "Your Face Sounds Familiar: The Grand Showdown” will officially kick off this coming Sunday, April 5.
After 12th round of competition, celebrity performers Akira Morishita, Alexa Ilacad, Dia Mate, Jarlo Base, Jason Dy, JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano, and Rufa Mae Quinto will once again face off in the all-out showdown.
On Sunday, the celebrity performers expressed their gratitude to all their fans and viewers for the success of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" (YFSF).
"Maraming salamat sa lahat nang nanood sa amin, sumuporta. Sa mga commercial, sa fans, na nag-repost, nag-share, nag-like, comments, suggestions," Quinto said.
Ilacad thanked her fellow celebrity performers for inspiring her and for making her a better performer.
"Ako nagpapasalamat ako sa inyo for being an inspiration to me. Ang hirap to be in a competition. Nakakabaliw. But you guys really made it worth it for me. Kasi you inspired me every week to do my best. Natatakot ako makalaban kayo kasi sobrang galing niyo but because of that I feel like I grew and ang laking ambag niyo sa akin at sa artistry ko as a performer. Thank you for showing up every single day,"Ilacad said.
Morishita, meanwhile, thanked the fans of his group BGYO for their support. "Hindi ko makakalimutan ito ever sa aking buhay," he said.
The seven performers also shared the things they will miss about each other.
Premiering in October last year, the latest season of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" quickly generated buzz online, with viewers praising the seven celebrity performers for their jaw-dropping transformations.
The show is hosted by Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario with OPM icons Sharon Cuneta, Gary Valenciano, and Ogie Alcasid as jurors.
Last November, Pepe Herrera exited the show as a celebrity performer, saying that he decided to step back from work to focus on his mental health.
