The new ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ trailer has set a new all-time record after getting 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours, according to WaveMetrix.
It beat the previous Guinness World Record-holder - the’ Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer, which got 355.5 million views in its first 24 hours in 2021 - a record that the new Spider-Man trailer thrashed after getting 373 million views worldwide within just eight hours of launch.
A Variety report, meanwhile, said the trailer of ’Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has also reached 1 billion views in just 4 days - the first film trailer to achieve that milestone.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer also beat the 24-hour record set by Grand Theft Auto VI (475 million views), which was previously billed as the biggest video launch of all time upon its 2025 release.
Anticipation for the new Spider-Man movie continues to build ahead of its July 29 launch in Philippine cinemas.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” picks up where the previous movie left off: with the entire world forgetting that Peter Parker even exists.
Four years since the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, Peter Parker is now an adult living entirely alone while devoting himself entirely to protecting his city full-time.
As the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, and Michael Mando as Scorpion.
