"Nurse the Dead" is a dramedy series about Filipino-American nurses, caregivers, and health workers, where Jennings is one of the lead actors.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Jennings shared that this story has been pitched way before he started taping for "Incognito."
After getting the green light to shoot, he flew to Los Angeles and began filming for the project.
When asked if he auditioned for the role or if he was handpicked, the actor said: "I auditioned and was handpicked."
Filming in Hollywood gave Jennings a different work perspective.
"'Pag Hollywood, iba na 'yung pace nila. Alam mo 'yung galaw ng crew, iba din talaga sa Pilipinas. Mas fast-paced sila. Sobrang grateful din ako na nakasama ako sa show na 'to, sobrang the best and amazing crew," he said.
Jennings stayed in LA for a month and admitted he already misses his mom's cooking, particularly adobo and sinigang.
And while nerves are inevitable in a set that's new and unfamiliar to him, he found comfort in the company of Filipino actors like Ruby Rodriguez, Jelynn Malone, and Princess Punzalan, among others.
"Sobrang saya nilang kasama, tawang-tawa lang kami sa set. Actually hindi ko nga feel na nagwo-work ako eh. Kahit nandun 'yung kaba at pressure, nandun 'yung suporta ng mga Pilipino," he shared.
During his rest days, Jennings got to go around, see his friends, and go to Universal Studios and Disneyland in Anaheim.
"First time kong mag-Disneyland, feeling ko 12 years old ulit ako. Ang sarap din palang maging bata, pa-minsan minsan ulit," he said.
Before flying to LA, Jennings began filming for a movie titled "Mother Maybe." They did some scenes in Japan and he is scheduled to finish a few more shooting days when he flies back to Manila.
He also did a special appearance in Mika Salamanca's music video for her latest single titled "Kasalanan." The two played mafia bosses a la Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's badass movie "Mr & Mrs Smith."
"Astig din eh. Sabi ko kay Mika, astig to, mag-aaksyon tayo. Buhatin kita, sipain mo 'to. Nag-enjoy ako, ang bait ni Mika kasi sobrang professional niya rin," he said.
