MANILA -- The duo of JM dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano has clinched its third win in the brand new season of "Your Face Sounds Familiar."
This happened after the duo's transformation as Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj last week, amazed the show's judges and their fellow celebrity performers.
"Para sa akin sa lahat ng mga performances niyo, ito para sa akin ang pinaka may impact sa akin. Kasi sa boses pa lang ni JM at ginaya ang boses ni Bieber ... kung saan nandoon dapat mismo ang boses mo -- nandoon mismo. Tapos biglang pumasok si Nicki Minaj 'yun lang ang reaksiyon ko talagang kayo na ang bahala. Ang tanong ko lang, ano ba ang hindi niyo kayang gawin? I don't know because kaya nilang gawin lahat. Congratulations ang galing niyong dalawa," judge Gary Valenciano said.
"Paglabas ni JM alam mo ang pagka-nonchalant na parang natural lang kay Justin Bieber na walang ka-effort-effort. 'Yung boses ni Bieber kuhang-kuha. Parang you also studied your assignment. Paglabas ni Marielle, Diyos ko wala na sinakluban na ako ng langit at lupa in a good way. 'Yung transformation ni Marielle was so unexpected pati 'yung galaw. ... As usual that's perfect, excellent, awesome," juror Sharon Cuneta said.
"Alam niyo naman ito, fan ako ng JMielle. Ngayong nakita ko ang performance niyo ako ay namangha. Alam ko na ginawa niyo ang assignment niyo without trying too hard and you did it so confidently, napaka-confident niyong dalawa ibang klase. JM, hindi ko akalain na magaling kang sumayaw, 'yung boses gayang-gaya. Marielle, 'yung attitude, 'yung angst ni NIcki Minaj ibang klase hindi ko nakita ang JMielle nakita ko si Nicki at Justin. Bow ako sa inyo," guest juror Erik Santos added.
Dela Cerna and Montellano won the seventh round after receiving a total score of 24 points from jurors and fellow celebrity performers. The duo was followed by Jason Dy with 22 points and Jarlo Base with 17 points.
"Una po maraming salamat sa aming mga juury. Salamat po talaga wala po kaming ibang masabi kung hindi thank you, sa pag-guide sa amin at sa lahat po," dela Cerna said after winning Round 7.
"Thank you po sa pagtitiwala sa aming talento, kaming lahat. Siyempre salamat sa ating kapwa celebrity performers, thank you so much," Montellano added.
This marked the tandem's third win after they also won the first and fifth rounds. Aside from plaque, the two also took home P50,000.
Next week, Dia Mate will be Doja Cat, Rufa Mae Quinto will be Pink, and Jason Dy as Elvis Presley.
Alexa Ilacad will transform as Yeng Constantino after she stole the celebrity icon from Akira Morishita, who will be performing as Lisa of Blackpink.
Jarlo Base will be transforming as "Your Face Sounds Familiar" juror Gary Valenciano and JM and Marielle will transform as Janno Gibbs and Jaya.

Meanwhile, the show's Sunday episode opened with special guest, OPM singer Elha Nympha.
Nympha who was part of "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids" in 2017, wowed jurors and the celebrity performers with her transformation as disco queen Donna Summers, singing "Last Dance."
"Hi mga Ka-Familiars I'm back. Na-miss ko kayong lahat . I miss you all," said Nympha after performing.
