Park Bo-gum is set to star in a new film.
According to a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, the Korean actor will headline the historical action film The Sword: A Legend of the Red Wolf.
The movie follows the story of a man who loses his memory and is forced into slavery before being drawn into a deadly tournament centered on a legendary sword.
Bo-gum will portray Chil Seong, a warrior suffering from amnesia. His character undergoes a dramatic transformation from surviving brutal battles as a slave gladiator to rising as a heroic figure dubbed as the "Red Wolf."
He will star in the movie alongside Jung Jae-young, Joo Won, Lee Sun-bin, and BIBI.
The movie will be directed by Kim Han-min.
Last year, Bo-gum headlined the hit Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines. He starred in the show alongside IU.
The series follows "a spirited girl and a steadfast boy's island story [which] blossoms into a lifelong tale of setbacks and triumphs, proving love endures across time," as per its IMDb.
He headlined another series, released in May 2025 on Prime Video, titled Good Boy.
The show follows a group of Olympic medalists who, after facing financial struggles, injuries, and the abrupt end of their careers, transition into law enforcement through a special government program.
In August 2025, Bo-gum staged the Manila leg of his "Be With You" fan meeting tour at the Mall of Asia Arena.
"I am super happy to meet you all and I can't believe it that I'm here with you... Thank you for still being with me, thank you for remembering me. I am so grateful to be with you guys. Thank you for your time. Thank you for coming today. We will make really good memories together," he said during a Q&A session during his fan meeting.
He also acknowledged how passionate the Filipino fans are, citing how he was warmly welcomed when he arrived in the country.
"I just arrived yesterday, [it was late], but many fans—my friends in Manila—came to the airport and they were so warm [welcoming] so I was so happy. I felt blessed," he said.
Bo-gum relayed that he was the one who came up with the concept for his fan meeting, taking inspiration from how his fans have always been with him throughout his journey in the entertainment industry.
"From my debut and until now, you guys have always been with me, so I just want to say thank you and I'm gonna be with you," he said.
"I have chosen the title to be 'Be With You' because of the love and support you have given to me and also just as you all have been waiting for me so faithfully. And also it contains the meaning that I want to be with you moving forward," he added as per the translator.
Aside from the Q&A session, Bo-gum prepared performances and prizes for his fans during the fan meeting.
