Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez brought the house down on "America’s Got Talent" Season 20, delivering a powerhouse rendition of Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s “Die With a Smile” during Tuesday night’s finals — all while nine months pregnant.
It was an answered prayer for Sanchez as she received standing ovation and praises from the show's judges Sofia Vergara, Simon Cowell, Mel B, and Howie Mandel.
"What can I say? It's a perfection. You look like a little pregnant angel. I mean you look beautiful, your voice, I've never heard anything like that. Bravo Jessica, bravo!" judge Vergara said.
"I feel like everything you are singing, you kind of bring us into your world more and more. You give us more emotion, more passion. No matter what song you sing your vocals are just flawless, pitch perfect every single time," judge Mell B said.
"You know what? I agree with everything my fellow judges say, and maybe this is just my opinion but so far this is the best act of the night," Mandel added.
For his part, Cowell commented: "I felt that there was an extra 10% of you than before, because actually there are two of you, it's like a duo, right? Jessica, you know what? It was so important for our 20th anniversary that you came back. Important to show that even if you don't win the first time, you've got to always believe in yourself, right? And I think that was actually a beautiful arrangement. You sound amazing. I think it was the best performance we've heard so far," Cowell said.
Sanchez is one of the Top 10 finalists on "AGT," vying for the chance to become this season's grand winner.
On Wednesday night (US time), the newest "AGT" grand winner will be named after the public voting.
Before performing her final song, Sanchez admitted feeling nervous.
"I think I'm feeling all the feels. I'm definitely a little nervous. I am so close to my due date, so that's a little crazy but I'm also super excited. And like I said, just be here 9 months pregnant, this is like kinda once in a lifetime kind of thing so I'm super, super excited," Sanchez said.
"There's so many amazing talents and I'm just honored to be on the stage, sharing it with them. I just hope to give America the best that I got for the finales," Sanchez added.
Hours before her grand finals' act, Sanchez also expressed her gratitude to all those who supported her, adding that her "AGT" journey has been a blessing to her.
"I wan to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This journey has been a blessing. I am honored, I am blessed and I am grateful. Glory be to God," Sanchez shared via a social media post.
