'Idol Kids Philippines' celebrates Buwan ng Wika in week 6

In celebration of Buwan ng Wika, 'Idol Kids Philippines' kicked off its week 6 featuring Tagalog songs and musical works by Filipino composers.

MANILA -- In celebration of Buwan ng Wika, ABS-CBN's "Idol Kids Philippines" started its week 6 featuring Tagalog songs and musical works by Filipino composers. 

For its Saturday episode, Alex, 11, from Nueva Ecija, secured four yesses from "Idol Kids PH" judges Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Angeline Quinto and Juan Karlos Labajo, for her "Nasa Puso" performance.



Ayen, 11, the kiddie hopeful from Bacoor, Cavite, who loves to do junk journaling and scrapbooking, got four yesses from all the judges with her performance of "Tao" as she impressed them with her strong voice control.



Ten-year-old auditionee Aleia from Calamba, Laguna, who loves K-pop and idolizes the group Enhypen and Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, received three yesses for her "Duyan" performance.



On Sunday's episode of the reality singing competition for kids, MJ, 10, from Batangas, who dreams to have her own salon someday, showed her singing prowess with her performance of "Balut." She received a golden ticket from the judges.



Arwen, 13, from Pasay, who loves  musicals, is moving to the next round with her performance of "Till I Met You." She received four yesses.



Seven-year-old Gianna, from San Pedro Laguna, who dreams of becoming  a president and lawyer in the hope of eradicating bad persons and to stop bullying, received three yesses from the judges with her "Patuloy Ang Pangarap" performance.



The young hopeful from Malabon, Theon, 10, will be competing again after he received three yesses from the judges. He sang the OPM classic "Iduyan Mo."



Last to perform and was able to secure a golden ticket for the next round is Samantha, 8, from Taguig City, who joined the singing contest to show off her God-given talent. She impressed and received four yesses from the judges with her performance of the OPM classic "Ngayon at Kailanman." 



"Idol Kids Philippines" hosted by Robi  Domingo and Jolina Magdangal airs Saturdays and Sundays on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live, and TV5.
